Sun-Bird Spicy Turkey Burgers

IN THIS RECIPE

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 1 lb 80/20 ground turkey
  • 2 tsp honey or hoisin sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 1 pkg Sun-Bird Mongolian Beef Seasoning Mix
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 4 whole-wheat hamburger buns
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 4 tomato slices

PREPARATIONS:

  • Preheat oven 350°F.
  • In a medium sized bowl combine all ingredients and chill for 15 minutes.
  • Form turkey into four patties.
  • Using an oven safe non-stick pan, sear patties on one side over high heat. Flip patties and then place pan in the oven.
  • Bake for about 12 minutes or until the center of the burger reads 165°F with a digital thermometer.
  • Serve on top of a whole wheat burger bun with lettuce and tomato.
