Sun-Bird Orange Chicken

IN THIS RECIPE

WHAT YOU NEED:

For the sauce:

  • 1 1/2 cup Water
  • 2 1/2 tsp Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Chili Flakes
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 1 tbs Orange zest
  • 1 tbs Orange juice
  • 2 tbs +1/2 tsp Cornstarch
  • 1 pkg Sun-Bird sweet and sour

For the chicken:

  • 1 pound Chicken tenders, cut into large chunks
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper

PREPARATIONS:

  • In a medium sauce pan combine all the ingredients for the Sunbird Sweet and Sour sauce and bring to a simmer. It should thicken and have a nice glaze. Your sauce is complete.
  • Bring a frying pan with 1/4 cup of oil up to 4000
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and pepper. After well mixed, bread your chicken tenders and fry in your prepared frying pan.
  • Once golden brown on both sides, let the chicken rest on a towel to absorb any excess oil. After about 3-5 minutes of letting the chicken rest, you may sauce your tenders.
