Grilled Marinated Steak Skewers

IN THIS RECIPE

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • ¼ cup Olive oil
  • ¼ cup Low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 pkg. Sun-Bird® Stir Fry Seasoning Mix 
  • 2 lbs. Sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 8 oz. White button mushrooms, halved
  • 2 Yellow bell peppers, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 Zucchini, cut into 1-inch rounds
  • 1 Red onion, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • ¼ cup Sesame seeds, for garnish

PREPARATIONS:

  • Combine ¼ cup oil, soy sauce, Sun-Bird® Stir Fry Seasoning Mix and steak in a large resealable bag. Shake to coat and refrigerate at least 1 hour or overnight.
  • Place wooden skewers in a low flat dish and cover with water. Allow skewers to soak for at least 30 minutes prior to use. To assemble, alternate the steak, mushrooms, pepper, zucchini and onion onto each skewer.
  • Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium high heat. Spay grates with cooking spray and grill skewers, turning occasionally, until vegetables are tender and center of steak reaches 140˚F, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from grill and garnish with sesame seeds.

Tip: Substitute chicken, tofu, or yellow squash for steak.
