Garden Lo Mein

(MAKES 6 side-dish SERVINGS)

IN THIS RECIPE

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 2 tbs sesame oil
  • 3 1/2 cup cut fresh vegetables
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 3 tbs soy sauce
  • 2 tbs white wine vinegar
  • 1 pkg Sun-Bird Beef & Broccoli Seasoning Mix
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 8 oz linguine or thin spaghetti, cooked and drained

PREPARATIONS:

  • Heat sesame oil in large skillet over med-high heat. Add vegetables and cook 3-4 min or until crisp tender. Stir in broth, soy sauce, vinegar, Sun-Bird Beef & Broccoli Seasoning & pepper. Cook, stirring frequently, until bubbly and slightly thickened. Stir in linguine.

Suggestions: Some great ideas for cut fresh vegetables would be: broccoli florets, chopped red and green bell pepper, onions, thinly sliced carrots, celery, mushrooms, zucchini or summer squash.  Or if you are looking for a time saver, use a frozen Asian style vegetable mix and thaw before using.

Note: For a main dish, stir in 2 cups hot, cooked, cubed chicken before serving. If desired, substitute 1 pkg (16 oz.) frozen stir-fry vegetable mixture for fresh vegetables.
