Mongolian Turkey Burger

IN THIS RECIPE

WHAT YOU NEED:

GROUND TURKEY:

  • 2 cups Purple cabbage, shredded
  • 1 Medium carrot, cut into ⅛-inch matchsticks
  • 2 Tbsp. Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 Tsp. Rice wine vinegar
  • 2 Tsp Low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 lb. Ground turkey
  • 1 pkg. Sun-Bird® Mongolian Beef Seasoning Mix 
  • 1 Egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
  • 4 Sesame seed buns, toasted
  • 1 Large haas avocado, sliced

PREPARATIONS:

  • Combine the cabbage, carrot, cilantro, vinegar and soy sauce in a large bowl. Set aside. 2. Mix the turkey, Sun-Bird® Mongolian Beef Seasoning Mix and egg together in a large bowl until just combined. Form mixture into 4 equal patties.
  • Preheat grill or grill pan to medium high heat. Brush grates with oil. Grill the patties until golden brown, and internal temperature reaches 165°, about 5 minutes per side. 4. Spread the mayonnaise on both sides of buns. Top the bottom buns with patties, cabbage mixture, avocado and top bun. Serve and enjoy.

Tip: Substitute ground chicken or lean ground beef for ground turkey!
